April 5, 2025 @ 9:00am - May 9, 2025 @ 5:00pm EDT
Something EXTRAordinary Starts in Hopkinton! Come visit the Winged Foot Art Exhibition and Auction.
The 26.2 Foundation and the Hopkinton Center for the Arts are hosting a "Winged Foot" Art Exhibition and Auction. Forty one artists from Greater MetroWest and as far as Maryland have been selected to paint a winged foot with their creative ideas to celebrate this momentous race. Bobbi Gibb the first woman to unofficially run the Boston Marathon is included among our artists!
The feet will be displayed on Hopkinton Common near the marathon's start line from April 5th through April 27th. The public is encouraged to register to bid on these unique pieces of artwork through this site. The bidding will open on April 13th and close on April 27th at 5 p.m. All proceeds raised from the auction will support the work at the 26.2 Foundation and the HCA.Â
All art pieces are 2 feet wide by 3 feet tall, painted on Azek supplied by our friends at Barney and Carey Company, inc. They can be displayed indoors or outdoors. If you are the winning bid and need your piece shipped there will be an additional shipping charge between $100-$250 depending on location.Â
(NOTE: There are two pages of artwork. Look at all 40 pieces before choosing the ones you want to bid on!)
