For my first Winged Foot, I wanted to capture the journey of the Boston Marathon—one step at a time. Using my signature style of filling shapes with words, I created Steps Through 26.2, where each blue and yellow stripe contains the name of a town along the marathon route. Beginning with the words "Boston Marathon" and moving from Hopkinton to Boston, the words trace the path every runner follows to the finish line. The bold blue and yellow colors pay tribute to the marathon’s iconic palette, honoring both its history and the strength of those who take on the 26.2-mile challenge.
