This piece, “Life is a Marathon, Not a Sprint,” represents the sport of running and also shares an inspirational message with the city of Boston, and the world. Growing up as an athlete is never easy but this artist/athlete was taught that to give up was never an option.
 The track represents the journey, always looking ahead.  The baton reminds us to remember how important it is to be a team player.  The torch represents the importance of enjoying your journey, and that consistency will help you reach many milestones and destinations. The medallion is a friendly reminder that when you don’t give up this is your reward as a champion.
