The entire design came from the fact that whenever I travel to a new place, I like to walk and explore. As I walk, I am focusing on all the new things I see in from of me. However, I always stop and turn around to see what I may have missed and snap a quick photo. The Boston Marathon runners are very focused and looking ahead to reach the finish line. In this piece, the start line and finish line each depict imagery from behind. My love of architecture came into play with the buildings on Boylston Street and the mix of older buildings with more modern designs and how well they work together aesthetically.
