DaNice Marshall is a writer and narrative-based artist. After writing for decades, she transitioned to art when a severe vascular disease subsequently led to hearing loss and left her unable to concentrate on writing. DaNice has received several awards and grants, including a 2025 National Rare Artist Award, a 2025 Andy Warhol Foundation CFF Grant, a Mass Visual Art Citation from Governor Maura Healey, and a 2024 MassMOCA Visual Art Fellowship. She was also named "Breakout Artist" by Boston's Billboard Hope in 2021 and awarded Boston's Faye Chandler Emerging Artist Award in 2023.  We are most grateful that DaNice was a featured artist this year in the HCA's Lotvin Family Gallery.
